Third Executor began with a scenario I kept seeing in nearly two decades of financial services: a family in grief, trying to find the accounts.
A husband or father passes away unexpectedly. The surviving spouse is left not only to cope with the loss, but to manage the financial assets of the estate during the hardest weeks of her life. Where are the accounts? How do I get into them? How do I move them into my name? Is there a life insurance policy? Where is the will? What is probate, and what happens if the assets have to go through it?
I have spent nearly two decades serving individual investors and the wealth management industry. I know the account types and registrations, the paperwork institutions require, and the difference between an account that passes with a death certificate and one that waits for the court. I have walked families through consolidating and distributing a loved one's assets, and I have seen how much of the cost, delay, and stress comes down to one thing: nobody wrote it all down while they could.
What we do now
Third Executor started as a hands-on service that organized assets before death and settled them after. The work taught us that the most valuable part was the record itself, so we built it as a product.
